CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

As we know the demand for air transport services in the present moment is very high, we can’t deny that advances in the world of transportation has become more sophisticated with the times and technology, particularly air transportation are worldwide.

Air transport is the transport of high risk that can’t be arbitrary to run in terms of both technical and operational activities performed by airline employees, and therefore the operation of aircraft required of pilot flight crew especially suitable to standardization and have a license, for safety aviation a priority in aviation.

The pilot is a person who operates an aircraft and are fully responsible for the safety of all crew and passengers on the flight. In addition to the standardization and a pilot license also requires professionalism in carrying out their duties. In the world of aviation incidents and accidents often occur due to negligence airline pilot. Our goal compose the theme of this paper is to discuss the performance of pilots associated with passenger safety in aviation.

CHAPTER II

THEORETICAL

In the aviation world the priority is the safety of airlines that includes several aspects as supporting safety, one of which is a pilot as an aspect of human resources are fully responsible for the safety of all crew members and passengers. It is therefore extremely important for pilots to be licensed and standardization in accordance with applicable law, any professional other than that required to produce a safe and comfortable flight.

It is important for a pilot to observe the applicable provisions as set by the Director General of the circular under No. AV/Jh6D I DKUPPU / t.: 2 .. pe 1111/2011 which requires each pilot to fly the plane only allowed no more than 30 hours a week, 110 hours in a calendar month and no more than 1,050 hours in a calendar year.

It is a clause that is used as a support for aviation safety, but in reality there was found a few pilots who have violated flight hours as stipulated in the regulations. For pilots who violated, it will be penalized in the form of a certificate suspension for 1 to 6 months and / or revocation of the certificate. Second Sanctions filed by sanctions imprisonment of 2 years and a maximum fine of Rp 500,000,000.00.

In another case, one of the airlines that pilots have involved narcotics cases and could threaten the safety of passengers in flight to create an image of the pilot declined. It is making people think that traveling by planes become unsafe. For pilots who use drugs would face the law No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics and drugs, in addition to other penalties that the revocation of the license and certification work. That way the pilot is expected to be more self-introspection Indonesia in carrying out their duties and obligations.

CHAPTER III

METHODS

In the third chapter in our writing assignment entitled “Negligent Pilot Passenger limp”, we will create a research method based on the theoretical basis that we have previously made.

The research method that we’ll use the descriptive qualitative method either online by creating a questionnaire instrument and spread to the wider community through several social networks, as well as offline by doing interviews with people directly to get the amount of data which is then processed into information.

To obtain these data we do by spreading a questionnaire via electronic media/social networks such as face book, twitter, blogs, and personal message. Another way to get the data is to conduct interviews in private to the respondent with a target sample of at least 30 respondents. Although in small quantities, but all respondents is the target that has the relativity of the problem to be studied.

In order for the optimal level of the respondents can be expressed well, the question that is spread more towards associative and deskiptif, so that all kinds of people’s aspirations can be customized and can be minimized level, therefore the variable data must be very varied. This is very important so that the target of the respondents was obtained in a short time.

CHAPTERIV

DATAANALYSIS

After data collection efforts by using a closed interview on “Negligent Pilot, Passenger limp” using 21 questions presented online through freeonlinesurvey.com, we get the data by 30 respondents, the data is transmitted via facebook, twitter, or personal message, so data can be obtained quickly and accurately.

Data obtained respondents:

  1. Gender:

–       58.3% Respondents are male

–        41.7% respondents are women

2.    Status: 16% of respondents to fill a student / student

3     Age: 12% Age range of respondents was 20-30 years

The data obtained from the respondents answer:

After doing this interview, there are many people who conclude that in the future, pilots in the country ready to accept the open sky policy to be implemented in 2015. This is quite surprising because 15% of the 30 respondents that there is enough to know about the performance of the existing pilot in Indonesia, besides the respondents also quite sensitive to the problems caused by the pilot flying during off hours. However, 87.5% of respondents agreed that fault accident or incident that occurs is not entirely caused by the pilot concerned. Although 95.8% support, if pilots do things that can threaten the safety of the flight, the pilot license must be revoked immediately.

In addition to these things, the respondents revealed that the level of aviation safety in Indonesia at a good value, but the need for small changes that can lead to significant changes in the world of aviation, both in regulation, giving sanction to the rogue pilot, as well as increased performance of the pilot so that the safety and aviation security can be implemented. If this is implemented, then the future of Indonesian pilot readiness level of competition and the demand for professionalism pilot can be applied perfectly.

Data from a survey conducted to obtain the responses of the population, it can be concluded that the public is sensitive to the growth and changes that occur in the world of aviation. People consider that the flight is in Indonesia scored well, and readiness of pilots to perform open sky policy is considered to be adequate. This response is a positive response to the aviation world, although activity has been good but the performance is still far from perfect operation, it is time for the aviation system in Indonesia to improve ourselves in terms of both internal and external.

CHAPTER V

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

CONCLUSIONS

From the results of our papers on the performance of the Indonesian pilot begins with an introduction and background, and discussion of the theoretical basis, the determination of the research methodology, to perform data analysis using a questionnaire that we do online or offline, it can be concluded that the safety of air drag is highly prioritized in the world of aviation. One factor that can support the flight safety pilot performance. In this case the pilot is fully responsible for the safety of crew and passengers that required professionalism, but it is still found in cases of indiscipline in their duty pilot is already known by the public. This is evident from the results of a recent survey of around 62.5%, and sensitive enough to know the performance of the pilot today. It is hoped the pilot Indonesia can self-correct its performance.

RECOMMENDATIONS

With scientific papers we write are expected readers can provide advice and input to better writer for the future.
